Pursuant to the provisions of Law No. 53/2014, dated 22 May 2014, “On Deposit Insurance,” as amended, the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) presented, on 19 June 2026, to the Committee on Citizen Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight, its report on the implementation of the recommendations set out in the Parliamentary Resolution “On the Evaluation of the Activities of the Deposit Insurance Agency for 2024”. The report was presented by Mr. Mina Kusta, General Director of the Agency.

The General Director’s presentation focused on the overall progress made in implementing the Resolution’s recommendations, highlighting the institutional and legislative measures undertaken by the Agency to align its framework with European Union legislation, strengthen its operational preparedness, enhance cooperation with market participants, and further develop its administrative and human capacities. Committee members were also informed of the Agency’s commitment to continuing these efforts with the same level of dedication, professionalism and accountability, with the aim of further consolidating its institutional role and effectiveness.

At the conclusion of the session, the Committee on Citizen Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight, in cooperation with the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Employment and Finance, issued its recommendations for the further improvement of the Agency’s activities. Following their approval by the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, these recommendations will serve as a key framework guiding the work and strategic priorities of the Deposit Insurance Agency in the period ahead.
