Following the consolidated cooperation between the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency and the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo (DIFK), a meeting was held among Mr. Genci Mamani, General Director of ASD and Mrs. Arijeta Neziraj Elshani, General Director of FSDK, as well as the respective staffs from both organizations. The meeting took place on September 14, 2022, at the FSDK headquarters in Pristina.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss issues related to the Agency’s project to improve the information technology system in order to further automate the compensation process. Currently, the Agency, in cooperation with the European Bank for Research and Development (EBRD) has already started a project aiming the improvement of the Information System on Reporting and Compensation (SIRK) as well as the development of new modules that will automate the compensation process.
The new developments will enable the Agent Bank to access the Agency’s electronic system in order to quickly compensate depositors in an insurance event, as well as to record and track the compensation payments by the Agency. Furthermore, other changes will aim the development and implementation of a module that will process all the complaints from depositors regarding compensation payments.
The goal of this meeting was the exchange of experience between the two institutions on the best practices regarding the automation of the compensation process. At the end of the visit, both institutions committed to the continuation and intensification of cooperation on all institutional levels.
