The Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency, participated in the 8th EFDI Balkan Regional Meeting, organized by the Montenegro Deposit Insurance Fund. The meeting took place in Budva, Montenegro, from 24 to 26 of September 2021.
This meeting follows a well-established tradition according to which deposit insurance authorities of the Balkan region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia), formalized in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by them.
The main topic of the meeting was exchange of experiences and discussions on the challenges that Balkan deposit insurer authorities have faced and might face in the future, in relation to the Covid-19 new emerging situations. In this respect, Balkan deposit insurer authorities took under consideration and established the following steps for reviewing the Memorandum of Understanding, in view of updating it with the necessary features to address joint challenges, which might result as a consequence of the conditions generated by Covi-19 pandemic.
