On 24.04.2025, the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADIA) paid an official visit to the Kosovo Deposit Insurance Fund (KDIF). The delegation, headed by the General Director Mr. Genci Mamani, was welcomed by the Managing Director of KDIF, Ms. Shqipe Devaja.

During the meeting, the bilateral cooperation between ADA and KDF was discussed, as it is consolidated over the years, for the development and strengthening of the respective deposit insurance schemes, to protect depositors and maintain financial stability.

The two institutions also discussed the latest developments in both jurisdictions, including expected developments on the reforms on the framework of deposit guaranteeing regarding the approximation of legislation with this European Directive as well as the Directive on bank recovery and resolution.

Special attention at this meeting was paid to the reform of the risk-based premium calculation system, according to the European Banking Authority (EBA) guidelines.

At the end of the visit, the heads of the institutions assessed the cooperation, and committed to deepening the collaboration with the aim of further developing deposit insurance schemes, in accordance with European and international standards.
