
On Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30, 2024, the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADIA) hosted in Vlore, Albania a successful and insightful two-day event of EFDI Working Groups: STWG, PRC and H2C Subgroup
The first day, was devoted to the STWG and was open by Mr. Genci Mamani, Managing Director (ADIA) and the leader of the STWG, Mr. Jose Maria Fernandez (FGD, Spain).
It was then followed by a discerning a presentation of the Stress Test Application in ADIA, by Beni is Arben Beja (ADIA), and continued with presentation made by Mr. Cătălin Dan and Mr. Virgil Ion (FGDB, Romania) sharing relevant aspects in relation to business continuity and cybersecurity at FGDB Romania.
Colleagues from EdB Germany, Martin Boegl and Juliane Seiter shared their experience in relation of building stressed scenarios using real-world challenges, and Mrs. Marija Hrebac, (HAOD, Croatia) shared recent STWG experiences from the Croatian DGS, focusing on something so important for a DSGs such as the Single Customer Views.
The session ended with an interesting tour de table sharing the views on Member on relevant Stress Testing Areas and final remarks share by Mr. Genci Mamani, Mr. Fernandez and Mr. Carlos Colao (EFDI, Secretary General).
The second day was dedicated to communications. After a welcoming message from Mr. Genci Mamani and the leader of the PRC, Mrs. Sylvie Gordon (FGDR, France), the event began divided into 4 different sections.
The first section was related to the communication methods, tools and action plans in peace time, where we able to learn from Mr. Martin Blushi (ADIA) about ADIA’s communication channels and where ADIA’s new web page was presented to the audience. Afterwards, we had the chance to learn from Mrs. Jelena Petrovik about the youth public awareness programs develop by the Deposit Insurance Agency of Serbia. We continue, with Mrs. Sylvie Gordon, who then share the e-leaning program and platform made by FGDR and the review of public awareness surveys carried out.
The second section was then focused on payout and resolution experiences and crisis preparedness. It was opened by Mr. Filip Dutkowski (BFG, Poland) who shared the latest developments in the Getin Noble Bank resolution case, followed by Mr. Robert Meulenbroek (DNB, Netherlands) who then talked about their successful communications experience in relation to Amsterdam Trade Bank Case.
After that Mrs. Sylvie Gordon talked about the communication approach in relation to the bilateral agreements signed within the EU Cross-border Multilateral Agreement framework.
The third section was focused on new practices, innovation. Mr. Filip Dutkowski (BFG, Poland) shared the public relation and communications aspects of the management change in BFG; and, after, that Mrs. Sylvie Gordon and Mr. Carlos Colao talked about the social media practices between FGDR and EFDI Secretariat during the last AGM hosted in Nice, France. Then, Mr. Carlos Colao had the chance to share the recent communications development that EFDI is carrying out and, in particular, the main features of the new website. Finally, the review of Members activity and PRC next Steps was discussed.
The day finished with an update of the activities of Mr. Robert Meulenbroek leader of the H2C Communication Subgroup and with the closing remarks of Mr. Genci Mamani.
