The decisions of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania \u201cOn giving preliminary approval for the merger of Bank Intesa Sanpaolo Albania sh.a. with Veneto Banka sh.a.\u201d and \u201cOn giving preliminary approval for the merger of Banka Amerikane e Investimeve sh.a. with Bank NBG Albania sh.a.\u201d have entered into force on the 1st October 2018, which coincides with the date Veneto Bank sh.a. and Bank NBG Albania sh.a. have been unregistered at the National Business Center. Consequently, these two banks have submitted their respective deposit insurance certificates to the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency.nAccordingly, as from the 1st October 2018, the deposit insurance scheme has 14 (fourteen) bank members. From this date, Bank Intesa Sanpaolo Albania sh.a. and Banka Amerikane e Investimeve sh.a., in their capacity as acquiring banks, have to keep the insured deposits of the acquired subjects separated for a three month period, for the purposes of deposit insurance by the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
