The World Bank Mission, headed by Mr. Michael Edwards, was welcomed by Mr. Genci Mamani, General Director of the Deposit Insurance Agency, in a closing meeting on the Development Policy Loan II on 15th December 2016. Mr. Mamani and Mr. Edwards expressed their utmost consideration on the fruitful cooperation between the World Bank and the DIA.
Mr. Mamani thanked the World Bank, and Mr. Edwards in particular, for the important contribution in developing and promoting the financial sector in Albania, as well as the Deposit Insurance Agency.
For his part, Mr. Edwards assured that, despite him not serving as team leader of the World Bank missions in Albania anymore, the cooperation between the latter and public institutions that regulate the Albanian financial sector will continue in the future.
