The deposit insurance authorities of Hungary and Albania sign a Memorandum of Understanding

The National Deposit Insurance Fund of Hungary (NDIF) and The Deposit Insurance Agency of Albania (DIA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 21st of October 2022, in Budapest. The Memorandum was signed by the Managing Director of NDIF, Mr. Andras Komar and the General Director of ADIA, Mr. Genci Mamani.

The Memorandum aims at increasing the cooperation between the signatory parties by exchanging and sharing experience and strengthening the human capacities, with a view to develop the deposit insurance schemes in respective jurisdictions in compliance with the international standards.

This initiative is considered as an important development for the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency, in accordance with its policies to further develop collaboration with counterpart institutions, which is an important strategic priority. In this regard, institutionalizing the cooperation with NDIF is an important step ahead, considering its professionalism and undisputed expertise in deposit insurance and resolution.

Mr. Komar and Mr. Mamani expressed their confidence that this Memorandum will contribute to further bond the professional relations between National Deposit Insurance Fund of Hungary and the Deposit Insurance Agency of Albania through an increased dialogue and information exchange by organizing bilateral meetings and intensifying the mutual communication regarding issues of regulatory spectre and their implementation into practice.
