The Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADIA) signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey (SDIF). The MoU was signed in Istanbul, Turkey, on October 7th 2019, on the occasion of the annual meeting of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), by General Manager of ADIA Mr. Genci Mamani and Mr. Muhiddin Gülal, President and Chair of the SDIF Managing Board.
The institutional cooperation between the deposit guarantee authorities of Albania and Turkey, marks an important step for ADIA for the fulfilment of its mid-term strategic priorities. The MoU further enhances the institutional cooperation of the authorities through the exchange of experiences and human resources, in accordance to best international standards and practices. In this regard, the Agency considers the signing of this MoU as a special development, considering the vast experience of SDIF, as one of the first authorities created for this purpose (year 1983) and with a wide mandate which includes deposit insurance, resolution, recovery etc. On this occasion, both Mr. Mamani and Mr. Gülal expressed their commitment in the implementation of the protocols of this agreement and to further strengthen the cooperation on all disciplines of mutual interest.
